Content Director

Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Content Director to join our Task Force. As the Content Director, you will be pivotal in shaping the narrative and digital presence of BRAVE. You will:
  • Lead and Build a Team: Oversee the development of a content team, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with BRAVE’s mission and vision.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that encompasses social media, blog posts, press releases, and website content to engage, inform, and inspire our audience.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all content upholds the integrity, tone, and values of the BRAVE brand, enhancing our reputation as thought leaders in veteran support services.
  • Storytelling: Harness the power of storytelling to share the journeys of veterans, the impact of our communities, and the vision of BRAVE, connecting with our audience on a profound level.
  • Performance Analysis: Utilize analytics to assess content performance, adapting strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of digital trends, exploring new platforms and content formats to keep BRAVE’s messaging fresh and relevant.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments like Community Development, Mental Health Support, and Veteran Affairs to ensure content reflects all aspects of BRAVE’s work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and execute content plans that align with marketing goals.
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of content creators, writers, and social media specialists.
  • Oversee the creation of all content types, from detailed blog articles to quick social media posts, ensuring quality and brand alignment.
  • Manage content calendars, timelines, and workflows for seamless content delivery.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather stories and insights for content creation.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on content KPIs to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Act as the brand voice in public communications, including press releases and media interactions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in content strategy, particularly within social impact or service-oriented sectors. Previous leadership experience is essential.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. Proficient in SEO, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Understanding: Deep empathy for veterans’ issues and a commitment to the mission of BRAVE.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinker with the ability to produce engaging content across various formats and platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred.
