The “Brave Site Plan Concept V1” presents a meticulously designed layout for a transformative community dedicated to supporting homeless veterans.
This circular plan, centered on a 3-acre main parcel, creates a purposeful and interconnected environment that prioritizes stability, connection, and empowerment. At the core of the design is the Community Garden Area, a vibrant hub surrounded by essential facilities, each strategically positioned to meet the unique needs of residents.
The Main House anchors the layout, serving as the central gathering place for communal activities, administrative functions, and shared living spaces. Adjacent to it, the Green House functions as a sustainable hub for growing fresh produce or hosting educational programs focused on self-sufficiency. The Pool Area provides a dedicated space for relaxation and recreation, while the two Pickleball Courts—positioned side by side—offer opportunities for physical activity and social engagement to promote health and camaraderie.
Practical amenities ensure residents have the tools they need for daily life and long-term growth. The Café/Market operates as a vital resource for meals and access to local goods, fostering community and independence. The Healing House delivers targeted mental health support, counseling, and wellness programs tailored to veterans’ experiences. Additional facilities, such as the Gym, Maker Shop (dedicated to crafts, repairs, or vocational training), and Equipment Garage, equip residents with spaces for physical fitness, creativity, and practical skill development. An Office and a parking area (covering .82 acres) support administrative needs and ensure accessibility for both residents and visitors.
Access roads curve thoughtfully around the site, connecting these elements seamlessly while maintaining a serene and navigable layout. This design’s circular structure, combined with its comprehensive mix of recreational, therapeutic, and functional spaces, reflects a bold, intentional approach to empowering homeless veterans—offering not just shelter, but a thriving, supportive community where they can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.
